| Blackburn Rovers are closing in on a permanent deal to sign Jayden Fevrier from Stockport County, according to the Lancashire Telegraph. The 23-year-old right-winger has already made a positive impact in the Championship, scoring twice in 11 games on loan at Charlton Athletic.
Fevrier's arrival would strengthen Blackburn Rovers' squad in a key position, with Ryoya Morishita currently their only option at right-winger. The club is paying a fee for the ex-West Ham United Academy graduate, although the exact amount is not disclosed.
Stockport County were open to Fevrier departing after allowing him to join Nathan Jones' side in January. The 23-year-old will again test himself at Championship level, having already shown his capabilities in the second half of last season.
With the transfer window still open, Blackburn Rovers are poised to make a significant signing. The club's League standing in the Championship is 20th, with 52 points from 46 games. They trail leaders Coventry by 43 points, but a strong start to the season could see them challenge for promotion.
The deal could be wrapped up soon, with the Rovers squad set to face Huddersfield Town in their final pre-season match this weekend. If completed, Fevrier's signing would be a boost to Tony Mowbray's side ahead of the new season.
League standing (final 2025 table -- new season not yet under way): 20th in Championship, 52 pts, 13W-13D-20L from 46 games, recent form LWDLD.
